Birthday Fun Day!

I had so much fun yesterday! My stepsister Brooke had a birthday party to celebrate her upcoming birthday this Tuesday.  The coolest thing was, she had one of those huge inflatable obstacle courses with a slide at the end!  I never laughed so hard and I think I gave myself whiplash and a few strawberries from diving through that thing.  The kids really seemed to enjoy it.  She also had a water balloon target set up that my wonderful husband volunteered to sit under first and let the girls try and hit the target to pop the balloon over his head.  I think Brooke had a fantastic time; I know we did.

Hershey Chocolate Factory

Mmmmmm....I really like chocolate :)  That was why I was pretty excited when my wonderful husband told me I was volunteered to take some pictures for the junior class fundraiser at the plant.  Though I have to admit, my first thought was, how do you have a fundraiser at a factory??  Well the Hershey plant in Stuarts Draft held an Employee Appreciation Day for all their workers and the junior class kids did a FANTASTIC job.  They ran booths, served food, and had fun in general and as a bonus, got paid to do it! (well the junior class got paid)  These kids were amazing!  I have never seen a group of students so punctual (they ALL were there prior to the 9am start time) and so hard working (they spent 8 hours outside in the hot sun and not once complained).  I only hope they had as much fun working the event as I did capturing some of it with my camera!

I heart faces "Vroom, Vroom"

It's been a long time since I've submitted a picture for I heart faces, but as soon as I saw this week's theme, my latest senior session sprang to mind!  A typical teenager, Courtney loves rocking it out in her car, which is personalized down to the window paint!  She was a trip and I loved her expressions once she got in her car.  Too cool!  Here's one of my favorites - definitely all teenage attitude and rockstar material!

Barren Ridge Vineyard Wedding

I assisted in shooting a beautiful wedding at Barren Ridge Vineyard this past Sunday.  The weather couldn't have been more beautiful; it was sunny and warm, but not too hot.  I was on hand as a second shooter helping out the talented Ms. Toviah from Last Light Photography.  It was a lot of fun! Even though I wasn't the contracted photographer, I felt really comfortable with everyone and Dana and Matt were a true joy to get to know!  Here are a few of my shots from the day.
